Love Bryan and Carmen, particularly Carmen. Their couple dynamics are great . Love Karina Smirnoff. Slavic always leaves me cold, and I perhaps unsure why other than I think it’s just all about him.

It sure brings back memories of when I went to Blackpool with my Mum & Dad when I was about 8 years old at the time, we sat just in front of the orchestra. I watched your video with interest as I was trying to search for my parent's names. It was about 1958 at the time (I think) it could be more or less a year but not after 1961 as we went to Australia to live. I know that they won the competition as we took the Trophy home & was allowed to keep it for a year. It had their names on it in a type of a shield. I have all my Mum & Dad's photos, newspaper clippings, & films of them dancing. I am coming to England next year as I have never returned since I was 11 years old & it would be nice to pass on their memories & history of my parents. If you could help me to find out who I should pass it on to I would really appreciate it. They worked so very hard to get to the top & I know that they would also appreciate it. Wonderful!!! Harmonious dancing and movements adapted to the music as "in a flow", not just running from pose to pose incl stops, as is unfortunately common today.

I don't love this angle that the follower is dancing at. I know this is what's done nowadays but I don't find it beautiful :::shrug:::

Video from about 2004. Arunas & Edita split sometime thereafter and Arunas started dancing with Katusha Demidova in October 2007. Edita started dancing with Mirko Gozzoli in November 2009. This style of dancing is the WDC style which is slower and less exciting than the WDSF style.

I'm not a fan of this modern form of ballroom. The sides are broken for the man and the lady's position is too extreme; I just find it ugly. For me the golden era of competitive ballroom was the 90s. But art is subjective and this is just my opinion. Some people will love this.
